This 8" x 8" original acrylic painting captures the essence of a sea nymph that has been exposed on a rocky bed of sand as the tide went out. Dried out from the sun, she appears as seaweed to conceal her true form until the waves return.

Copious amounts of modeling paste was utilized to conjure the deep textures of this watery fae. Impressionistic techniques were applied to create the rocky shoreline while a palette knife was used to craft the core of this mysterious beauty. Metallic medium was applied to specific areas on this piece to create a sense of magick.
