1/43 - The Sea Witch

This 30" x 24" original acrylic painting captures the moment an ancient nymph is conjured within a wave from the cool waters of Puget Sound. This mysterious soul was experienced by my own eyes on a recent walk along the shores of Seahurst Park in Burien, WA.

This piece was crafted with copious amounts of modeling paste to create the intense textures of the waves. Palette knife and impressionistic techniques were utilized to give life to this magical nymph. Some hints of metallic medium were used to accentuate elements of this work.
