1/42 - Stormy Gaze

This 8" x 8" original acrylic painting captures a one-eyed gaze of a water nymph as she is tossed within the tides. Among the tumultuous waters, she remains hidden, with her stare appearing as the center of the wave.

This small piece was conjured with copious amounts of modeling paste to create the intense textures. Palette knife and impressionistic techniques were utilized to give life to this mysterious soul. Some hints of metallic medium were used to accentuate elements of this work.
