2/42 - Sunset Conjuring

This 30"x 24" original acrylic painting catches the gaze of a cloud sylph, who has been illuminated by the intense hues of a sunset. Trying to remain hidden, a shroud of clouds is conjured from her breath.

Copious amounts of light modeling paste and palette knife techniques were utilized to conjure the swirls of clouds within this being.. Impressionistic brush stroke techniques were used to apply the hues of the sky at dusk. Metallic mediums were added to create a sense of magic within certain elements of this piece.
