1/38 - Secret Caretaker

This 30" x 24" original acrylic painting uncovers the portrait of an earthly fae, hidden among the leaves of a red trillium. She nurtures these unique flowers as they begin to bloom for Spring.

Copious amounts of modeling paste were applied to conjure the texture of the blooms as well as the leaf extensions nearly four inches off the canvas. Various brush strokes and palette knife techniques were utilized to give life to elements of this mixed media painting.
