1/37 - Free-Flowing

This 30" x 24" original acrylic painting catches a river nymph dancing with the current of the cool river waters. The colors within this creation were inspired by the hues within the Cedar River located in the PNW.

Copious amounts of light modeling paste were applied onto the canvas to enhance the texture of the stones and seaweed. Impressionistic techniques were utilized to conjure the sandy river basin and the flowing features of the mysterious nymph. Palette knife techniques were used to craft the river rocks.
