3/56 - Kiss The Sky

This original 24" x 30" acrylic painting captures the moment a zephyr blows a kiss into the sky, tossing brilliant hues into the heavens as the sun rests for the day. This work was inspired by an intense sunset that was experienced late spring in the Pacific Northwest.

This piece was created using copious amounts of modeling paste to extend elements of the clouds off the edges of the canvas while creating textures. Palette knife techniques and impressionistic brush strokes were used to conjure this painting. Metallic mediums were used in a few places to give
a sense of magick to this mysterious beauty.
