1/36 - Forest Sentinel

This 24" x 30" original acrylic painting uncovers an ancient ent, silently observing the happenings within the realm of his earthly home. His watchful eye ensures the inhabitants are safe under his shift.

Copious amounts of modeling paste were applied to conjure the leafy locks and to the bark-like skin of this forest dweller. Impressionistic techniques were used to craft the background. Palette knives created his ragged wooden core. Metallic mediums were utilized in a few areas on this ancient soul to cast a magical vibe.
