1/51 - Dilly Dallying

This 12" x 12" original acrylic mixed media painting catches playful water nymphs meandering among the rocks of the Green River. Look closely to get a glimpse of these mysterious souls disguised as the cool waters of the river.

This piece was conjured using copious amounts of modeling paste to form the shapes of the river rocks. An impressionistic technique was utilized to create the small stones between the larger rocks. Metallic mediums were used to form the silhouettes of the water nymphs, developing the movement within the piece.
