21/31 - Forest Queen (2022)

This 24" x 18" original acrylic painting captures the gaze of a dryad hidden within the remains of a decaying tree stump. Her mossy hair is crowned with golden ferns. This piece was created using different painting techniques using brushes and palette knives. This queen was inspired by an intriguing old stump that was discovered on a walk through a forest in the Pacific Northwest.
